something inexpensive but tough and durable enter, the DHARMA FLUTE it’s an inexpensive meditation flute made from tough pvc this flute is different, tho. it’s VERY challenging. it’s based on the japanese shakuhachi (the original meditation flute) but brought into the modern world. the embouchure (place where you put your mouth to play) requires your mouth to LITERALLY become the “other part” of the flute in order to “create sound” talk about hobbymaxxing! this might take awhile! it’s worth it, tho.

this is the ONLY meditation flute where YOU have to BECOME ONE with the flute don’t try to “play music”.

while this is well tuned in the key of D minor pentatonic and can easily be played with an ensemble, that’s not what it’s for like the japanese monks of the fu-ke zen sect, “just blow” (suizen) – your “own song” will appear! length: about 21 inches key: D minor
